SCHOOLS UP NORTH ARE CLOSING DOWN

Iddi Muhayu-Deen writes....

Senior high schools in the 3 regions of the North are closing down because the government of John Mahama has refused to settle its indebtedness to these schools in respect of the feeding grants, which have been in arrears for more one year in most cases. The situation has now moved from bad to worse. Meanwhile the President himself, together with some of his Ministers were beneficiaries of this northern scholarship regime. They never faced this challenge during their time. How more insensitive could they be to their own? Do they really care about the plight of these students?

These students are expected to write the same exams with their southern counterparts. How unfair! We must all rise up and vehemently speak against this disservice. These innocent students are bearing the brunt of government's inactions for no fault of theirs. Government only pays lip service to the development of Northern Ghana. I'm not surprised that SADA has been a monumental failure as well. With this, how do we bridge the vast development gap or disparity between the north and the south? Where are the so called students for Mahama? Where are our opinion leaders? We want to hear their voice..... JDM, our brother, kindly do something oooooo
Ghana surely deserves better......
