Mr.
President, you recall that in your maiden publicized book, "My first coup
de tat", you told us that you were compelled to leave the "luxurious Achimota
school" to attend a Secondary School in the northern region (Ghanaso)
because of financial concerns. This move allowed you to enjoy the northern
scholarship and for that matter free education up north. By this, Mr.
President, you are essentially acknowledging the fact that, we northerners are
generally deprived and ought to be supported by the State in order to realize
our educational right, at least, at the secondary level in the form of northern
scholarship or feeding grants.
Now, the
inexplicable contrast of this narrative is that, Mr. President, you now have
the opportunity to be our Head of State having campaigned to us (northerners)
to vote for you because you were one of us and as such, had a better
appreciation of our plight. What do we see today under your presidency? A
complete departure from your own conviction... SADA has become an apology of a
social intervention much to the chagrin of northerners. Again, the northern
scholarship regime is at the verge of collapse under your presidency. As we
speak, our junior brothers and sisters have been sacked from school because
your government hasn't paid their feeding grant arrears for the past one year
(ie 3 terms).
Mr.
President, what happens to your very principles? Are you still a northerner? Do
you really care about the future of these 90,000+ students? But for this same
free education, would you be president by now? Have you soon forgotten about
the plight of your own people which you used as a trump card in 2012 for
electoral advantage? Or was it politics as usual? Please these innocent
students are losing a lot because of your loud inactions. Kindly do something
and do it NOW for God and humanity.
Thank you
