President
John Mahama describes as an ABSURD NONSENSE claims by his political opponents
that the Electoral Commission is scheming to rig the upcoming elections for
him. He threw these blistering jabs last Thursday whilst addressing a rally at
Funsi in the Wa Constituency of the Upper West Region.
President
John Mahama describes as BALONEY [meaning SILLY TALK] proposals by some 80% of
Ghanaians that government should not use our oil as COLLATERAL for loans. He
made this comment after the committee that was tasked to collate the views of
Ghanaians nationwide regarding how to use the proceeds of our oil find,
presented their Report to the government.
President John
Mahama describes as USELESS controversy that was generated among the Ghanaian
public in respect of where Late President Mills was going to be buried at the
time of his passing. Meanwhile this same controversy was started by him and his
communicators following their contradictory positions regarding the final
resting place of the Late Prof.
President
John Mahama in 2012, told northerners to vote for him because he is a northerner
and added that, if the NPP wanted northerners to vote for them, they should
rather make Dr. Bawumia, who is also a northerner their flagbearer and not an
Akan in the person of Nana Akufo-Addo.
President
John Mahama says he wouldn’t take criticism from any Ghanaian who has not been
president before. We asked whether we know what it takes to be President. The
President was absolutely livid especially with Alhaji Mahamoud Bawumia for
describing his management of the Ghanaian economy as INCOMPETENT.
President
John Mahama tells teacher trainees that he prefers losing the 2016 elections
rather than restoring their scrapped allowance. This is in spite of the fact
that these trainees have consistently given and continue to give strong justification
for the immediate restoration of the allowance.
President
John Mahama describes the opposition leader, Nana Akufo-Addo, whom he always
calls Opana [even though he knows his name] as a VIOLENT MAN who has destroyed
his party and now wants to destroy Ghana. He therefore calls on Ghanaians to
reject Nana Addo. When asked why he describes the opposition leader as violent,
his responds was that Nana Addo calls him [Mahama] a thief for saying that he [Nana
Addo] won’t steal our money when voted into government.
President
John Mahama ridicules the opposition leader, Nana Akufo-Addo for pleading with
Ghanaians to vote for him. The President by this, is essentially telling us
that it is problematic for a presidential candidate to beg the Ghanaian
electorates for votes. The president proceeds to exude confidence that
Ghanaians would necessarily RENEW his mandate because he has done what has
never been seen before in the history of this country.
With all of
these, you and I are still being told to vote for Candidate John Mahama because
he is HUMBLE. I guess the Queen of England has changed the meaning of HUMILITY at
our blindside. We are also being told to vote for him because he is a UNIFIER,
who has not only unified his party [the NDC] but the whole of Ghana. They
create an erroneous impression that Ghana was a WAR-ZONE until President John
Mahama took over the affairs of this country and brought everybody together.
On the so
called unity in the NDC, they forget that over 50 officials of the party across
all levels including some sitting MPs have all been suspended from the NDC for
various acts of omissions and commissions. Yet they come pontificating at
others. I would, in the course of the week, be sharing with you the findings of
a research work I conducted on internal party infractions and the effects of
same on Ghanaian electorates.
Finally, to
say the founder of the NDC, former President Rawlings has himself been
suspended from the party he founded with his sweat and blood is even an
understatement. He has been rendered absolutely useless in his own party and
sometimes referred to as a barking dog. The last time I checked, his wife, the
former First Lady has also been literally forced out of the party compelling
her to form a new party to challenge the NDC at the polls. Interestingly, all
of these happened under the leadership of John Mahama, their presidential
candidate, the so called unifier. The gods must surely be crazy.
Abraham
Lincoln was absolutely right when he said “You can fool all the people some of
the time, and some of the people all the time, but you can’t fool all the
people all the time. I am not surprised hearing these ‘abrasive and
condescending comments’ every now and then from President Mahama. After all,
too much power they say, corrupts absolutely. President John Mahama, having
occupied Ghana’s presidency for 8 years (both as VEEP and President), has
become so “egotistic” as he now sees himself as “superhuman”.
It is not for
nothing that NO government in Ghana and in fact, in any serious democratic
country has ever ruled for more than 8 years because of the nature of man. Not
even in the United States or UK. Why does the NDC think that Ghanaians would do
what no one has done before by making them rule for more than 8 years?
What is so
extraordinary about the NDC government? Is it the unprecedented hardship
they’ve subjected Ghanaians to? Or is it the corruption scandals that happen
virtually every week under their nose? Our country must surely be put back on
track. CHANGE in 2016 is not only necessary but also inevitable INSHA ALLAH.
