MY TAKE ON NANA AKUFO-ADDO'S LATEST APPOINTMENTS

MY TAKE ON NANA AKUFO-ADDO'S LATEST APPOINTMENTS

Iddi Muhayu-Deen writes...

Today, His Excellency Nana Akufo-Addo once again makes history in the school of affirmative action by appointing the first female Chief of Staff in Ghana, Madam Frema Osei Opare as well as the youngest Presidential Staffer, a 30 year old female in the person of Napaga Sulemana.

This is coming at the back of his earlier appointment of a good number of women into the NPP transition team, constituting over 40%. Meanwhile, there are still strong indications that we are going to see a lot more of such affirmative decisions in the coming days and weeks. Surely, the women of Ghana are so proud of Nana Addo for believing and reposing such ginormous confidence in them.

Another instructive observation I've made regarding Nana Addo's appointments so far, is his manifest belief and confidence in competent young people and for that matter the youth of this country [obviously not babies with sharp teeth]. Here, mention can be made of the appointment of the famous Abu Jinapore, an enterprising young lawyer of great repute and Asenso Boakye of Tescon fame, both of whom are in their 30s, as the two Deputies to the Chief of Staff.

Then the youngest Director of Communications at the Presidency, my good friend and brother, the 33 year old humble Eugene Arhin. Of course, we cannot forget of the 30 year old Presidential Staffer, Napaga Sulemana. Again, indications are that, sooner than later, many more young people would be named as appointees in the Nana-Bawunia government.

In the circumstance, I look forward zealously to hearing the name of the only Commander-In-Chief of the triumphant NPP Youth Wing, Sammi Awuku, the most successful Nasara Coordinator in the history of the party, Kamal-Deen Abdulai and many more competent young people including you. Congrats in advance.

Assalamu alaikum

It is shareable...
