There are leaders and there are leaders. Leaders are
better than leaders. Whereas some leaders are born, others are made. But some
can pride themselves of both. They are blessed with both nature and nurture.
There are very few of these leaders in today's World. But one thing I know for
sure is that, Ghana is today, blessed to have one of such leaders in the person
of His Excellency Nana Akufo-Addo. He is the kind of leader any nation would
wish to have.
He is a leader, whose
words do not only move people but also mountainous mountains. A leader in whose
DNA, you will find no impossibility. A leader who does the extraordinary. A
leader who is modest and concerned about the plight of all. A leader who smiles
only when the poor and down trodden smile. A leader who will on any day,
sacrifice all his time and last dime in meeting the legitimate expectations of
his people. A leader who will kill himself for his country.
A leader in whom,
both the rich and the poor find solace, trust and ginormous confidence. You
would agree with me that this is the kind of leader our country has long been
waiting for. We have actually waited for 6 decades. This is the kind of leader
with the wherewithal to change the Ghanaian narrative for the better. This is
the kind of leader all generations would wish to have. This is the kind of
leader that will make our country work again Insha Allah.
The unprecedented
overwhelming endorsement he received from the Ghanaian people is a testament of
how much confidence the people of this country have in him. And truly, since
his assumption of office, all his actions and decisions thus far, have only
manifested hope and prosperity for the Ghanaian people. He's achieved so much
and I doubt anybody can finish talking about all his enviable accomplishments.
If at the end of his
tenure of office, Ghana does not get to the promise land, then I doubt we would
ever get there. Happy Birthday Mr.
President. The whole of Ghana, Africa and the World celebrate you on this milestone occasion. I wish you good health,
prosperity and all you wish for yourself. Thank you Mr. President. I am one of
your citizens not a spectator.
Salamu alaikum
